Bridge Impact and Limetray have worked together from past 8 months, combining the unique qualities of each organisation to achieve the shared vision of empowering girl children by raising funds to support their education. The partnership began in November 2017 with the launch of Employee Payroll Giving Programme- “Uplift a girl child” to collect funds for supporting the education of underprivileged girl children. With the support of Limetray, Bridge Impact designed and implemented the project focused on girl child education with the help of partner NGO, “Kid Power”. The six month successful partnership together raised funds for supporting an education project in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. We selected 6 high school girl children from the marginalized communities in the rural area of Visakhapatnam and provided support for the education.

The contribution made by Limetray employees helped in creating lasting impact on the lives of girl children by empowering them through education while creating a huge difference in the community. As per the International Journal for Innovative Research and Development, in Visakhapatnam, 55 % of the female population is illiterate with high dropout rate. Among 32 children among which 14 boys and 18 girls as per International Journal for Innovative Research and Development. Hence, this intervention will help in creating a huge difference in girl child education in the future. The funded project further involves monitoring and evaluation through remedial classes, conducting regular tests, monitoring attendance and regular site surveys.

This is a pilot-based program which will be implemented further in the upcoming years on long-term basis. Following impact has been created through this programme:

  • Uplift the socio-economic status of girl children
  • Support them in receiving quality education
  • Improve their standard of living
  • Receive guidance for further education and get career guidance for future
  • Pivotal role in community upliftment and women empowerment

We provide easy-to-use Workplace Giving platform for employees to make regular, tax free and positive contribution to communities.
